MiSTer SNAC Nintendo 64 N64 Adapter

The MiSTer FPGA’s N64 SNAC adapter is a stand-alone Serial Native Accessory Converter (SNAC) adapter that provides a direct interface with the MiSTer Nintendo 64 core. It enables seamless integration with native controllers and accessories, including the Rumble Pak, Controller Pak, Transfer Pak, VRU (Voice Recognition Unit), Keyboard, Mouse, and Microphone.

This add-on adapter features four controller ports, ensuring top-notch performance for dedicated gamers or speedrunners who demand pinpoint accuracy and responsiveness with original Nintendo 64 controllers and accessories, all without any lag.

Do not combine this dedicated N64 adapter with any other SNAC adapter level shifter board; it is designed as a stand-alone device. For optimal connection, it is advised to use a short male-to-female USB 3.0 extension cable between the N64 adapter and the User Port on the MiSTer.

The MiSTer N64 SNAC adapter only functions with the respective MiSTer N64 core.

The Nintendo 64 SNAC adapter requires a MiSTer Analog IO board v6.1 or Digital IO board v1.2 and newer to function correctly. Additionally, this Nintendo 64 SNAC adapter does support other IO board types providing they have a User IO port.
