About MiSTer FPGA UK
We’re a small business essentially a one person show that strives to sound like a full orchestra ☺️. Every step, from making and testing boards to answering emails, updating the website, packing orders, and even laser cutting, is handled by just one person: me, Nat! Thankfully, my wife is always nearby and ready to lend a hand and keep everything running smoothly.
My love for electronics began early, thanks to my father introducing me to the BBC Micro, followed by the Atari 800XL. From there, I moved into handheld and console gaming with a Nintendo GameBoy, then a SNES. This early fascination with computers and gaming turned into a lifelong passion, eventually inspiring me to study software engineering at university.
Fast forward to 2018, when I discovered the MiSTer FPGA through the Atari-Forum. I decided to build a complete set of the official MiSTer add-on boards for myself, and soon after, friends and colleagues who experienced the accuracy of the retro gaming and computing wanted one too. This led me to start producing addon boards for them, and eventually, I had a surplus. So, I decided to build a website and offer the MiSTer addon boards for sale. It’s been a fun journey, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support from all my customers along the way. I look forward to serving you as well!
